Welcome to this charming 1 bedroom Carriage House with an additional mezzanine-loft sleeping space in the heart of historic Kennett Square. Walk out into the quaint streets of town and enjoy top-rated dining, coffee, ice cream shops and rare bookstores. One block away from main street and restaurants. A short walk to The Creamery (family-friendly beer garden) and local Park. A 7 min. drive to Longwood Gardens and a short scenic drive to Brandywine Museum and Delaware's beautiful attractions! Currently offering two (2) admission tickets to Longwood Gardens with Jan & Feb reservations. Ticket purchase will be reimbursed after proof of purchase.
The Space:
Walk down Sycamore Alley, follow the white picket fence and up the flagstone path and you’ll be transported to a secret hideaway full of beauty and history that is The Carriage House.
Meticulously restored with all of the modern comforts of today, we welcome you to relax and enjoy our space as the perfect home base for your visit to Kennett Square and the Brandywine Valley.
As you enter the house, you’ll see the kitchen, living room and dining room before you. Continue straight through the living room, and you’ll find the hallway with washer and dryer, bathroom and primary bedroom with a king bed.
From the living room, a tall step ladder will lead you to the loft where you’ll find two twin beds.
Our sofa also converts to a comfortable full size pull out and we are happy to provide additional linens for this sleeping space.
PLEASE NOTE: This home has a few steps along an uneven pathway to the front door, as well as a 9 ft. tall step ladder inside to reach the loft sleeping space. The loft does not have a door or a gate. Please take this into consideration before booking with children and/or anyone with mobility challenges.
Guest Access:
You will have a shared driveway with the owners, and although you overlook the owner's property on one side (about 25 feet away), you do have a separate private entrance and a view of the beautiful garden that separates you. You will be provided with a code to access entry via smart lock and are welcome to come and go at your leisure.

Our property is conveniently located within walking distance to most of Kennett Square. We recommend a car for visiting other Brandywine Valley attractions nearby. Uber and Lyft are readily available.
