Our guests describe Sea Fern Cottage as a 'home from home' and a perfect base for exploring the region. One reason for this is that it's spacious and comfortable with a lovely enclosed, south facing garden. You can enjoy barbeques and the rise and fall patio table can be used as a coffee table or at full height for dining.
We are also often told that the cottage and it's location is wonderful, because it's in a peaceful rural street and the back garden leads to a secret path across the fields that takes you directly to the beach at Robin Hood's Bay. There are also a number of walks possbile straight from the door and we're right on the cinder track for traffic free cycling.
Facilities
Sea Fern Cottage sleeps 6 in three bedrooms, two attic bedrooms and one on the ground floor, offering plenty of space for multigenerational holidays with Grandparents. There are 2 bathrooms, a large shower room on the ground floor and a bathroom upstairs.
The beds are large and comfortable with Emma mattresses and can be configured as 4 singles and 1 king or 2 king size and 2 singles.
For Evening Entertainment we provide books, toys, board games and a 50” Sony television (with Freeview). There is also Free WIFI and a bluetooth Bose speaker for streaming music and radio from your phone.
Bikes can be stored securely indoors. Sea Fern also has a comprehensive range of bike maintenance tools, a work bench and a track pump.
There is a hosepipe in the back garden for washing down bikes, dogs and wetsuits. Everything has been considered to ensure you don't have to overload the car with buckets and spades, body boards, windbreaks and camping chairs, because these are in the garage for you to borrow during your stay.
The property is well insulated and has central heating, which you can control. There is also a living flame gas fire in the living room for instant heat.
We kindly request there is no smoking in the holiday rental and retractable stair gate is provided to help you ensure that your dog remains downstairs.

There is a drive for off street parking. It is narrow, so we ask that you park at the top, allowing our neighbour to park at the bottom (nearest the garage) to allow for ease of opening car doors. There is additional ample parking to the front of the cottage. There is enough parking for two cars.
In Fylingthorpe itself there is a butchers, a corner shop and a pub 5 minutes walk away. In Robin Hood's Bay there are plenty of cafe’s, pubs and restaurants, so you won't be short of a well-earned place to rest after your day's activities.
