Alder Cottage is a delightful self-contained holiday attached to and set within the garden of the owner’s home on the edge of the pretty village of Gateforth, close to the Cathedral town of Selby, just 10 miles from York.
This holiday home offers a large open plan living space which is flooded with natural light from the large windows. The contemporary kitchen offers a host of appliances including an electric oven and hob, washing machine and microwave. There is plenty of work top space from which to prepare delicious home cooked meals which can be taken at the dining table which sits to one side. Deep filled reclining sofas are perfectly placed to enjoy an evening in catching up on your favourite shows. Retire to the king-size bed and enjoy a comfortable night’s sleep. A little further afield is the historic walled City of York which offers world renowned attractions including Jorvik, The Castle Museum and the National Railway Museum. With a choice of golf courses and miles of walking and cycling opportunities there is something for everyone. Alder cottage is a superb base to explore the delights Yorkshire has to offer.
