It is set in a secluded spot on an island, on a lake with open access to fields. Follow a short winding path from the field until you stumble upon the idyllic lake. Cross a bridge and you find the cabin nestled on an island in the lake. There is a platform above the water which is the perfect spot for yoga or meditation, or indeed star gazing! There’s also the rustic firepit to toast marshmallows upon, and plenty of private space to sit back and relax with an ice cold G&T. Immerse your mind, body and soul into a slower pace of life for a few days and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Experience the joy of camping in the outdoors with none of the packing! Your hosts are just at the end of the farm track if you need anything. just phone or knock and they can provide.

There are beautiful sandy beaches at Instow, Saunton Sands or Braunton Burrows, but not forgetting the wonderful galleries and cafés at Instow and Appledore, which is rich with maritime themes and link to the sea. Clovelly is a short car journey away and is pretty as a picture. The South West Coast Path is also a popular ‘must visit’ for keen runners and walkers! Be sure not to forget to visit Exmoor or Dartmoor National Parks, the former with its magical night skies in Europe’s first ’Dark Sky Reserve’. Or, simply enjoy the stars from your platform over the lake!
