There is a local bus service with 5 return times per day taking you to Torrington, Bideford and Okehampton. The market town of Hatherleigh is just 3.5 miles away and the breathtaking Dartmoor National Park is within a 20 minute drive.
The towns of Great Torrington and Bideford lie close by, where you will find most amenities. The Eden Project can be enjoyed within an hour’s drive, but even closer to your Hatherleigh cottage are Okehampton Castle, the RHS gardens at Torrington and the War Horse Valley Family Park at Iddesleigh. The Milky Way and The Big Sheep adventure parks will fascinate the younger ones.
