There is a second living room across a passageway which leads to the garden. The bedrooms are comfortable and well furnished. Be sure to explore the historic houses in the area including the 18th-century palladian stately home of Paxton House, and the Edwardian country house, Manderston House. Alternatively, visit Alnwick Castle and Gardens around an hour away. Take a boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands to see the bird and seal colonies, or visit the Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick. Walk along the cliffs of St Abb’s Head, or part of St Cuthbert’s Way which ends on Lindisfarne (Holy Island) which can be reached across a tidal causeway at low tide. Beach 15 miles.
