Totalling 5,000 acres of salt marsh it’s home to an impressive range of wildlife, with more than a quarter of a million migrating water birds feeding in and around the estuary.
The popular seaside town of Southport has a whopping 22 miles of coastline and the second longest pleasure pier in the British Isles.
