Being set back from the lake, the area is much quieter than Pooley Bridge yet the shops, pubs, restaurants and lake can be reached within a few minutes drive. Once at the lake, follow the road through the village and alongside the lake, take time to explore the villages and hamlets, many have art galleries or pubs with micro breweries serving local ales on route, and continue to Kirkstone pass where a day out in Windermere or Ambleside awaits, all within less than an hours drive.
Glendowlin is a lodge park, perfect for relaxing breaks at any time of year. After a day exploring the fells return to the peace and tranquillity of the park and the comfort of your lodge where you can enjoy a home cooked meal on the decking with views over the fells. Within a short drive you will find a number of traditional village pubs serving delicious home cooked food and local ales.
