Created by an Emmy Award winning writer and renowned artist, The Flying Pig is a destination unto itself. The owners have renovated several historic properties, featured in magazines, television and Ralph Lauren adds, the Flying Pig is their first home ever offered for short term vacations.
This 1,100 square foot, two bedroom, one bath modern farmhouse features over 700 hundred square feet of covered verandas, multiple French doors and a whimsical, bamboo encircled, Jacuzzi. There is a gas fireplace as well as window seats, oak flooring, new chef’s kitchen, a separate charming bunkhouse, an extra large primary bedroom with walk in closet.
The bathroom features a 200 year old English pine hutch as well as a luxurious 4 outlet shower.
Every room is graced with a private patio. The primary patio features a beautiful gas firepit, hand forged by an artist ironsmith. The garden was designed by Denise Montgomery one of Montecito’s most gifted landscape architects. She spent many months turning a challenging, neglected lot into a show stopping garden. The front yard features a lovely butterfly garden with a central fountain, an 80 foot draping, Chinese Elm and a large, covered patio for dining and lounging.
The back of the property has multiple stone walled terraces and a massive stone stairway that guides you to the top of the extra deep lot where you’ll find a 20 ft long, wisteria draped gazebo where you’ll watch the sun set over the Los Olivos oak studded hills.
The Flying Pig can be yours for a weekend or a year. She comes elegantly furnished, with all the amenities to settle in or soar. You deserve it!
