Summary: The hotel was very nice…in 1995. Now, it feels like the ghost of a hotel. It’s not terrible, but there are a lot of little things that add up. Everything is quite old, the water from the bathroom smells bad, the keys reprogram if they get to close to your cell phone, the decor is all kind of yellow and brown, the beds are stiff and uncomfortable, and for the first time in Japan I encountered hotel staff that seemed like they wished I wasn’t there. No one was rude, but they didn’t seem to like me very much when I bed to get my key fixed. One thing that is great is the view of the castle, that’s is amazing.
