Inspired by a visit to southern Tuscany, Denise and Peter planted their vineyard in 2008 with 3600 vines. Nestled in the Highland Valley Wine Country this award-winning vineyard and winery specialize in Italian Varietals with Denise being one of the few San Diego trail-blazing, award winning female winemakers. Her focus are Italian varietals and big reds. This beautiful Tuscan inspired Guest Living Quarters offers spacious accommodations that includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms that accommodate 6 Adults. The kitchen is complete with an island counter with bar chairs, beautiful appliances, air fryer, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, blenders, cookbooks are a few of the amenities for you to enjoy. The dining room is beautifully decorated with views of the vineyard. For your comfort is a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. The spacious living room overlooks both the Sangiovese and Barbera vineyards with a beautiful custom fireplace to cozy up to. Each bedroom has its own unique style with high-end Tuscan décor, with seating area, fine linens/bedding, blackout drapes and throws for your comfort. Guest can enjoy their wine on the 20ft covered front porch equipped with beautiful colorful patio cushions and furniture, firepits and BBQ grill for that special evening of being serenaded by the sounds of the vineyard, enjoying the beautiful sunsets, and mountain views.
Altipiano Vineyard and Winery is a working farm which includes a tasting room that is open to the public Saturday/Sunday from Noon to 6pm. Tasting grounds are complete with lush patios for guests to enjoy their wine/picnic. The night sky is perfect for stargazing, listening to the resident frogs that are very vocal at night, and you may get a glimpse of the neighborhood owls and red tail hawks. The winery is located on a private road where you can take a nice long walk where you can enjoy more of the country outdoors scenery.
Altipiano Vineyard and Winery is Centrally located, only 4.5 miles to Highway I-15. Highland Valley Wine Country is the home of 9 Award winning Wineries. The area offers a wide variety of Italian, Spanish, and Rhone wines. Cordiano Winery, an Italian family owned and operated Restaurant is only 1.1 miles from Altipiano Vineyard and Winery.
