Fireplaces - For environmental reasons, the open fireplaces at Beechlands are seasonal and are only available for use between October and March.

The living room offers a spacious and comfortable setting to unwind. With two large sofas, an armchair, and a coffee table, there is plenty of room for everyone to relax. A 50” Smart TV and Amazon Alexa provide entertainment, while decorative mirrors, sculptures, and artwork give the room character and warmth.
The sunshine room, which serves as a second living area, is bright and inviting—perfect for daytime lounging or casual gatherings. It features a large corner sofa, a 55” Smart TV, and a selection of board games. With direct access to the patio, it’s an ideal space to spill outdoors on warmer days.
The kitchen is fully equipped to handle everything from quick breakfasts to large group cooking. It includes a range cooker with double oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and cafetière, along with an American-style fridge freezer and dishwasher. A dining table seating six allows for informal meals, and the kitchen is fully stocked with crockery, glassware, and cookware. Guests are also welcomed with a starter essentials pack on arrival.
Just off the kitchen, the rear porch provides a practical space for dealing with the outdoors. It includes a basin and is ideal for drying wet dogs or cleaning muddy boots, with dog towels provided.
A conveniently located downstairs WC offers easy access from the ground floor and includes a toilet, basin, and mirror.
The office provides a quiet, dedicated workspace for those needing to focus or catch up on work. It features a desk, table, sofa, and bookcases filled with various books, along with the distinctive “Beechlands Guardian” sculpture adding a unique touch.
On the lower level, the games room in the cellar creates a fun, social environment, complete with a pool table and foosball for relaxed competition. It also offers direct access down to the lake and swimming area, making it easy to move between indoor and outdoor spaces. Nearby, the utility room is set up to keep everything running smoothly during your stay, with two washing machines, one tumble dryer, a clothes drying rack, and an iron with ironing board, ideal for longer stays or larger groups.
Outside, the garden grounds and lakeside setting are a standout feature of the property. Guests can enjoy outdoor dining with a table, benches, and chairs, make use of the BBQ, or simply take in the lake views. There is direct access to the swimming lake, and the surrounding area offers scenic walks by the lakes and across Dartmoor, including a short stroll into Chagford.
