Positive: Generally the cottage was well equipped although a washing up bowl would have been a help. The fridge/freezer was small for a family self catering for a week. The oven seemed quite old and the control knobs were difficult to see where set. Most ovens now are circotherm.

Negative: The kitchen flooring was of hard tiles and proud of the cement surround. Therefore necessary to watch ones footing. Dropping any crockery would not survive. The settees were low and difficult to get out of for most people. The instructions for operating the TV were over complicated. In the bathroom the bath was large and as the supplied hot water was from an Ascot type boiler would not be filled easity with hot water. Also, the bath seemed to be made of metal so all the heat would be absorbed into the bath. Hence a cold bath! At night there seemed to be a knocking noise from the roof area during a windy night. It may have been the casement windows but it needs checking out.

Summary: Overall the beds saved the day for this stay. They were comfortable and we both slept well.
