The bathroom offers a heated floor, and holds a bath, ideal for a long relaxing soak and a separate shower. From the kitchen the rear door leads out to a double terrace garden, an ideal spot for dining alfresco, enjoying a good book and soaking in the peace and tranquility of this quiet corner of Middleham. The amenities of Middleham are just a very short walk down the lane and the town square boasts an array of old traditional pubs, fine eateries and old curiosity shops. The castle dates back to the 12th century and wonderful walking can be enjoyed right across the area. Market towns such as Richmond, Leyburn, Masham, famous for the Theakston's and Black Sheep breweries, and Hawes, the home of Wensleydale cheese, are within easy reach.
Renowned for its history and race horses, the attractive Wensleydale town of Middleham is dominated by its Norman castle, dating from 1190. This impressive structure boasts a castle keep, second in size only to the Tower of London.
