BACKGROUND
In the early 1900's, when the main residence was constructed in an existing pear orchard, Carmel Valley was primarily agricultural. Today, Carmel Valley is dotted with homes, farms, ranches, vineyards shopping and restaurants. In the early 1900's, the property consisted of a Craftman-style main residence and at least four other structures, including the existing barn and a summer kitchen. From the time we acquired the property in 1993, we have worked to restore the property's elements to their original beauty while incorporating modern comforts. The Guest Cottage has been re-purposed from the former summer kitchen structure, retaining the history and charm of California history while offering cozy accommodations in a rural environment.
