We do kindly request no shoes inside. There is a hall tree bench just inside the front door with indoor slippers inside waiting for you. This keeps it cozy and clean for everyone to enjoy.
From driveway to front door is just a few feet to the Trex porch. No stairs to climb with luggage or groceries is a major luxury up here in the mountains. The main entry welcomes you into the inviting living room with a high wood beamed ceiling creating a sense of spaciousness. Warm ambience lighting and a comfy lounging area allows for stretching out and taking in a favorite movie. Central heating plus a wood burning fire place is easy to start and will warm up quickly. There is also an electric fireplace upstairs in the loft area. Snuggle in. You’re in for a treat! A great selection books and board games are available for your enjoyment.

Please note the town of Running Springs pretty much closes at 8pm and there are no fast food establishments. Christmas Tree Cottage is a Smoke-Free environment. There are rocking chairs on the porch along with warm blankets for the perfect place to relax with a cigarette or cigar.
The Ring front door camera is activated at all times. The security camera located by the TV may be unplugged upon arrival.
Please remove shoes/boots while indoors. Slippers are provided.
Hold on to handrail while entering/exiting bath tub.
If showering, always be aware of presence of tub spout.
Step on bath mat to avoid slipping.
Watch your step on stairs. They're different widths.
Staircase and loft railings are set wide apart. PLEASE MONITOR CHILDREN AND/OR PETS AT ALL TIMES!
Please be mindful of head room upstairs. Beams are low.
THE LEFT BEDROOM HAS A STEP DOWN. Please watch your step when entering and exiting.
If burning wood in fireplace and/or candles make sure they're out when leaving or going to bed for the night.
Don't walk barefoot. Stairs and upstairs are rustic wood.
Make sure stove and oven are off when leaving.
Always be careful outdoors with snow and ice. It's extremely slippery!!!
Elevation is 6100 ft. it may take time to acclimate.
This is "the Mountains!" All roads are curvy and all surfaces are sloping and uneven.
Watch out for icicles and falling pine cones
