Summary: The property contact did not provide us with the appropriate information on how to access the property until 1 hour after check in time. I made several attempt to contact him throughout the day and ended up calling vrbo who said they would reimburse us for one night stay at a hotel for that night. The property is a second home to the main house and the owners live there. Upon arrival we were met with many more rules than had been disclosed on the listing ( pool times, areas were not allowed on, check out time, etc). On our third day there, the owner walked in to the vrbo rental and my elderly aunts were startled. The owner said he thought we had checked out and that most people check out on Sunday ( our reservation was until Monday). We were very unsettled the last evening wondering if someone was going to enter the rental again. The property itself was nice but the weird feeling of being watched while outside and possibly someone walking into the house did not feel good.
