Welcome to “Idyll Acres Farmhouse” a charming retreat that feels like you are “out there” but it’s in the middle of everything that the Sierra Foothills have to offer! Enjoy the tranquility of 10 private acres where wildlife abounds or explore the historic towns, gold mines, natural attractions, and abundance of Amador and El Dorado county wineries that are just minutes away.
The space
The farmhouse features a spacious great room area with living room, dining and a freshly remodeled kitchen featuring refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. There are three cozy bedrooms, one downstairs and two upstairs, all with queen size beds. The downstairs bath features a clawfoot tub/shower combo and the upstairs bath has a shower. There is also a “work from anywhere” den with desk and futon couch for an extra guest. Enjoy dining al fresco on the spacious patio surrounded by fruit trees and a view of the “gulch”. There is also a small deck with loveseat overlooking the property and a greenhouse that has been converted into a dining room. Explore the 10 private acres of rolling oak woodlands and imagine what it was like 170 years ago when the area was populated by thousands of gold miners. Idyll Acres Farmhouse is just a short walk to Fiddletown’s “main” street, and the historic cemetery and schoolhouse. It is just 6 miles to Plymouth for stocking up on supplies at Pokerville Market or enjoying a meal out.
