Positive: The location was great, about 6 miles from York. Also a quaint little village within walking distance. The hot tub was very private and up to temperature upon arrival. The layout of the lodge was fine and it was warm ( very welcome as the temperatures outside were below freezing). Joanne (the manager) met us upon arrival and was extremely helpful.

Negative: The property was not particularly well equipped. Towels, robes etc were not provided for use in the hot tub. There was only one pint glass and not much in the way of kitchen utensils. Complimentary sachets of tea/coffee again were not provided. In the shower room only hand wash was provided. We have stayed in lodges with hot tubs previously for a similar cost and the above was provided as standard.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyable stay with a great hot tub but the lack of little extras was disappointing
