Summary: Ivythwaite Lodge is a beautiful house with many original features. It was a bonus to have a fridge in the room. We appreciated the warmth of the property and also the excellent service provided by Andrew and Abigail. The breakfasts were delicious and cooked options could be ordered the night before by text. Most of the food was locally sourced and Abigail’s home baking was great. The property was in a quiet location but easily accessible to Windermere and Bowness. The comfortable bed ( ours was a 4 poster) made for an excellent night’s sleep. If going to the area in the future we would certainly book again.
