A walk or bike ride along the shoreline in La Jolla isn't recommended — it's a must. Also on the must-do list: a visit to the Whale Bar at the La Valencia Hotel (two short blocks away) or sitting on one of the many restaurant patios lining Prospect Street that overlook the Pacific Ocean.
The San Diego Zoo, Legoland, the San Diego County Fair in nearby Del Mar (late May to July 4th), the Del Mar Thoroughbred Racing Season (July to August), and the Comic-Com Convention (mid-July), the San Diego Maritime Museum with the Midway, Downtown San Diego, and the Coronado Island beaches and world-famous hotels are all a short drive away. - Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before check-in. Same-day bookings are not permitted.
- Absolutely no exterior amplified music is allowed. Violations will result in a $500 fine.
- While we do our best to notify guests in advance, unannounced power outages may occur due to unexpected city maintenance.
- No events are allowed unless pre-approved and coordinated through Avantstay. This includes but is not limited to: rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, birthday parties, and social gatherings.
- All guests must comply with local laws regarding outdoor lighting, quiet hours, and limitations on parties or gatherings.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
