A Bird’s Eye View of Lake Gregory! Cool refreshing afternoon breezes, & clean mountain air make it a spectacular place to call home away from home. The bird’s eye view from the living room and deck is stunning. The views of trees and mountains from the bedrooms are amazing. As you drive up the mountain and start to decompress, you will find yourself breathing in the fresh air and feeling a million miles away from it all.
At night when the moon shines bright it casts light across the lake and when the moon is small, the stars are spectacular. From the kitchen and master bedroom, the view of the mountains out into the distance captures you as the sun rises over them in the morning. The home is on a large lot with an empty lot next door and sits up on a hill (that’s why we named it The Peak). Blue Jays are out and about along with other many species of birds. The lake is a short 1/2 mile walk and just across the street from the grocery store.
This is the entire top floor of the house. Private access is around the back of the house and up a flight of stairs.
We are available if/when you need us.
The house is a few switchbacks up from the lake and the town of Crestline. The streets are plowed by the County in the winter.
Recommend a car to get around. Biking would be possible as well.
There is one parking space in the driveway and one by the street. The driveway is fairly long and although it looks steep from the street, it is completely accessible.
The age minimum is 25 (families with kids welcome). To keep the cost low for smaller groups, there is a $12 per person per night additional guest fee when there are more than 2 guests.
For 28+ nights stays, please inquire first (not instant book); the following deposits apply:
Refundable damage deposit is $100
Refundable cleaning deposit is $350
Note: The cleaning fee for 28+ night stays is higher than the short-term cleaning fee in the listing.
For stays 28 nights or longer, the cleaning fee is $200. The difference between this fee and the initial cleaning fee paid upon booking will be collected along with the deposits before check-in.

Immediately after booking you will receive our short rental agreement to review and accept.
PETS: Beginning in December 2023, we are happy to announce our Happy Paws Community Program to help local animal shelters re-home and save the lives of animals. We are now donating 25% of all pet fees to a local shelter/animal rescue. We are also launching our Happy Paws promotion for pet parents who help us get the word out about the Program by posting a picture of your pet on I-N-S-T-A-G-R-A-M at our home and receive $25 off the pet fee (details below). The picture must be posted before check-out and tag @yellowbrickroadhomesplus. The refund will be provided back to you within 5 days of check-out.
The Short Term Pet discounted fee for non-shedding dogs is $25 per night per pet If your dog is on the list we will need a picture of you and your pet(s) (together) submitted prior to check-in day.
The Short Term regular Pet fee for other dogs or approved pets is $50 per night per pet. The Long Term Pet fee (28+ nights or longer) is $150 per dog per month. For non-shedding pets on the list the monthly fee is $95 per month.
For the long-term stay, if you participate in our Happy Paws Promotion, you will have a discounted rate of $50 per month per dog for non-shedding dogs and $95 per month per dog for the regular pet fee.
There is a refundable pet deposit if more than 2 approved pets of $500.
