Step inside to a wonderland of imagination that feels just like the delightful children’s storybook “The Little House” by Virginia Lee Burton. Situated at a bend along a popular rural neighborhood road sits The Little Red House built in 1942. In 2021 it was lovingly & creatively renovated into a magical 800 sq. ft. retreat. This house has a fully fenced backyard with ample room for your dog to enjoy the outdoors. Guests will love the breakfast bar with custom crafted resin countertops that preserve beach combing treasures like shells, seaweed & stones. Brand new stainless steel appliances including a gas stove make cooking a delight. The creative use of this 800 sq. ft. cottage that sits on a large parcel of fenced off land next to a creek is a delight. The small but open living room includes a Queen size Murphy bed, high top dining table for 2, sofa, Roku T.V and vintage style gas fireplace. Located just off the kitchen is a full bathroom designed for comfort after a day hiking in the Redwoods with a walk in mosaic tiled shower with an ocean scene of nearby “Camel Rock”, dual shower heads and on demand hot water. Head up a short, narrow steep stairway to a loft filled with natural light and set to a theme of clouds. A Queen bed, small desk, cozy reading nook and tiny deck w/ outdoor seating and views of the farm animal mural on the detached and decommissioned historic garage make this loft complete. This tiny home feels best suited for close friends or a small family who feel comfortable sharing a cozy space. The proximity to nearby Moonstone Beach just ½ mile away more than makes up for its lack of privacy. Onsite parking allows a maximum of 2 cars, no garage parking available.
*The home to the North is currently under construction and is being lovingly renovated by the same owners. Construction will take place during normal business hours Monday - Friday with thoughtfulness given to guests at The Little Red House as much as possible.
