The Space:
This wonderfully updated 1 bedroom 1 bath unit is located on bayside in Mission Beach just south of Santa Clara. Completely renovated with no expense spared you will not want for anything during your stay. Fully updated and stocked kitchen. The step in shower and updated bath are spotless! There is a queen bed in the bedroom, In the living room a small chaise folds flat into a single bed and there is also a futon that folds down into a double bed. This is enough room for 2 adults and 3 kids (if 2 children sleep on the small double. And did we mention the air conditioning? We have all that you need for the beach (chairs, towels, umbrellas, boogies boards) and even have space to lock up your bikes in the courtyard. This is the upper level 1BR and it is sits above the courtside patio.
Guest Access:
The patios are a shared common area but each unit has its own set of outdoor furniture. Note you outdoor furniture is on your balcony.
The Neighborhood:
Mission Beach is an amazing coastal community designed around "courts" with all of the residences facing one another across a sidewalk. That design creates a cozy and homey feel (and also limits the amount of car traffic) making Mission Beach the ideal spot to "live at the beach".
Enjoy several miles of long, flat boardwalks for riding bikes or skateboards or just going on a stroll at sunset. Restaurants, bars and amusement parks are all within walking distance. And of course, the beach on one side to surf or the bay on the other for more casual water play (unless you decide to kayak, stand-up paddle board or sail...all rental options are just minutes away).
Getting Around:
Please note that there is no parking at this residence and street parking tends to be difficult find in peak season. You can always park in alleys (just look for breaks in the fire lanes or on Mission Blvd (Just check the street sweeping signs). If you head east on Santa Clara Pl towards the Mission Bay Aquatic Center, there is free daytime parking (not for overnight use). Next to Santa Clara is the Mission Beach Women's Club, which offers paid parking when they have it (look for the envelopes by the door. Finally, in a pinch you can drop stuff off and then park in Ventura Cove and grab a Bird scooter and jet back to the property. Most of our guests never use their car once on site since everything at the beach is walkable (or Uber-able in a pinch).
Other Things to Note:
There is a fully stocked kitchen with all items needed to bake, cook or grill, pots/pans, cookie sheets, casserole dishes, outdoor plastic dishes, tin foil, knives, cutting board, blender, coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, creamer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, first aid kit, a/c & heat, wifi, Smart TV, hair dryer, iron, iron board, washer-dryer (coin operated), luggage rack, hangers, extra linens, pillows and blankets, beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, beach umbrellas, and patio furniture.
For stays longer than 30 days, I require a deposit in the amount of one month's rent to be paid offline due 60 days prior to arrival as well as a formal lease agreement.
Despite any stated cancellation policy, I will refund 100% for any cancellations made prior to 90 days from your arrival date. Thereafter I will refund your rental fee to the extent I am able to re-rent the unit for the days cancelled.
Interaction with Guests:
We are a self-service destination (check-in details will be sent 3 days prior to arrival). However, we are also a full-service, professional management company (that has been a Superhost/Preferred Partner for over 4 years running) and we are just a phone call/text/email away and have agents that are almost never more than 10 minutes away should a need arise.
