Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Nice pub in a convenient location with parking. The room itself was lovely, very nice decoration and the beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was good, not great as the shower was quite small and not very powerful but the bathroom was clean and had a lovely big mirror. We stayed here as we had day tickets to Leeds festival, it was only a 25 minute drive away. The food at the pub was outstanding, really good quality pub food with proper homemade chips. There were lots of amenities in the room - kettle, tea bags, coffee etc. and plenty of soap for the bathroom.

Negative: The staff that greeted us weren't the friendliest. They just handed us the key and showed us to the room, didn't give us any information about WiFi or checkout time etc like you would expect staff to. They also didn't check any of our details so it could have been anyone just trying to blag a room. There were a few sachets of the UHT milk that were out of date by a day or so. Only noticed because they didn't look right in our tea in the morning. So a nice pub to just stay and crash in but wouldn't be staying longer than a few nights. Good value for money though
