The Arbor House is a newly renovated, 5 bedroom/2 bathroom rural getaway where you can unplug and connect with nature. With new furnishings, appliances, and bedding, it is a comfortable space to gather with friends, co-workers, and/or family. It can be rented on its own for small groups or together with other facilities for larger gatherings and events (see our other listing, VRBO 2635233). There are multiple buildings on the property, including private residences and other rental houses/cabins.
The Arbor House is located on 240 acres, with trails threading through meadows and woods. We operate a variety of educational programs here as well as hosting retreats, groups, families, and solo sojourners. We aim to provide a comfortable place for people to retreat, relax, and enjoy nature.
IMPORTANT: This is a rural and rustic retreat center. As such, we ask that our guests respect the space of others, of the land and the facility and adhere to quiet hours between 10pm-7am, as per Nevada County ordinance. This is a great place to unwind and connect with others - it is not a place to host a loud party.
We are 15 minutes from Grass Valley/Nevada City, and 20 minutes from the Wild and Scenic South Yuba River.
