Summary: We traveled with 2 grandparents, 1 family of 5 (6 mos, 2, 4), and 1 family of 3 (2 yr old). My little sister's wedding would not have been the same incredible week/weekend without this stay! It was our home base! While we encountered any standard challenges with renting a house we've never been to before, the overall stay was excellent. The responsiveness of Christian and her team was superb. When we had issues, a skilled handyman arrived twice to help resolve -- most issues were basic house upkeep and also some user error, to be fair. 100% stay again.Pros & cons below:Pros--common space beautiful, wide open and great for family meals--pool was awesome - clean, not too chlorinated - was also cleaned again while we were there--lots of really nice outdoor seating areas and places to hang--two access doors to pool - one in master bedroom we kept locked entirely, the other we were able to lock with some effort and were very diligent about - we were really concerned about safety before we arrived but the set up of the house was actually just fine. and we had a gate between kitchen and stairs that led out to pool-- ordered baby equipment for house, Christian totally flexible about drop off/pick up and offered suggestions-- nice neighborhood, corner lot on busy street but property well-fenced - walkable to two coffee shops - one very good La Brea Bakery-- walkable to park, an LA park, but a park nonetheless-- beds/baths good, beds comfy - great sheets/pillows; master bath & bed very large-- well stocked kitchen (plates, mugs, serving plates, etc.)Cons-- no a/c in pool house, Christian bought and her colleague installed a portable unit ASAP-- pool house very small - pictures misleading, we weren't able to use pool house for my parents to stay in as we had originally intended; we did use it for pool bathroom-- outdoor furniture and area not cleaned well before our arrival-- very slippery pool deck - the wood slats are very slippery-- dishwasher difficult to operate but we figured it out-- TV very difficult to operate but someone came to help us-- trashdoor in kitchen was loose, they came to fix it ASAP-- trash in garage was left from previous renters, Christian's colleague took all the trashout for us-- closet hanger rod in one of the bedrooms broken - but again, most of the stuff was just inconvenience and general house upkeep that is easily fixed. the important stuff -- rooms, kitchen, beds, safety, cleanliness - was all strong.
