Located in the picturesque village of Gunnerside, Pretoria Cottage boasts stunning views of Swaledale, walks of all difficulties from the doorstep and a lovingly updated cottage for a cosy holiday.
The traditional detached cottage is a stone’s throw from the local village pub and is suitable for couples, up to 3 adults or a younger family of 4.
The space
The property has hi-speed WiFi, modern electric heaters in all rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, including a washing machine/tumble dryer and fridge freezer in the utility room. Entrance is via a porch, providing a useful storage area for coats and muddy boots.
Lounge:
The lounge contains comfortable seating, a beamed ceiling, flagged stone floor, cast-iron multi fuel stove and a Smart HD TV, perfect for relaxing and winding down. Guests are provided with the first basket of coal, logs, kindling and firelighters upon arrival. A dining table for 4 and coffee table is found in the lounge, providing a sociable environment for guests.
Bedrooms:
The master bedroom is a tastefully decorated double bedroom and the centrepiece of the cottage, providing stunning westerly and northerly views of the village and surrounding countryside. Fully furnished with a King size bed, dressing table and Smart HD TV.
The second bedroom includes a small double bed, ideal for an adult or could be used for two small children, with views up the dale.
Bathroom:
Our modernised bathroom includes underfloor heating, heated towel rail and walk-in shower. All linen and towels are provided.
Kitchen:
Entrance to the kitchen, through a utility room provides ideal storage space for food and drink. The kitchen comes fully equipped with Tassimo coffee machine and cafetière. Full electric hob and multifunction oven/grill are available for cooking.

Private parking in front of the property is suitable for a small to medium sized car. Free public parking is approx. 150 meters away in the village centre, opposite the village pub.
