With over 800 acres for you to enjoy, wake up among the oldest vines in the region and watch for hawks and deer across sweeping vistas with the provided binoculars. During the day, take a walk around the property through the vineyards. Not feeling like moving? No problem, sit on the front porch with a book, the back deck with a glass of wine or nap in the shade on the lawn.
Rockpile Ranch is the perfect location for family vacations, or relaxing getaways with friends, where you can unplug and unwind. Being completely off the grid, all of the power comes from a solar array on the iconic barn. Charge your camera (you’ll need it!) by the power of the sun!
As you ascend from the floor of Dry Creek Valley, you wind through forests of madrone, oak, pine, and manzanita. Driving along the ridge allows for expansive vistas across dramatic hills and valleys. Approaching the ranch, you enter another forest which opens to the first vineyards of Rockpile Ranch. Through the deer fence you descend through the trees where it opens to lush gardens, sprawling lawns, ordered vineyards and a charming yellow farmhouse with a lovely front porch set amongst mature flowering trees.
The Farmhouse has 3 queen bedroom upstairs and 4th bedroom with 2 twin beds. 2 full bathrooms, one with a tub and one with a shower, complete the upstairs. Downstairs, the large eat-in kitchen invites you to slow down, enjoy the view and take it all in. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the built in breakfast nook, or grab a bite to eat at the island. Although off the grid, enjoy the many comforts of home, including a gas Wolf range, dishwasher, microwave oven, propane fridge, Keurig coffee maker, a selection of K-cups and teabags, basic cooking ingredients (or have it fully stocked in advance), plus all the dishes, cookware, and glassware you could need. The living room is comfortably furnished with a wood stove. Sit by the fire and play cards or board games or enjoy a glass of wine at the 8 person dining table. If building a fire isn’t your thing, there is also central heating available. The adjoining den/media room, which overlooks the multilevel deck and garden, has a flat screen TV and DirecTV as well as the internet router.
The fun doesn’t stop at sunset! Watch the stars with no light interference through the telescope from the deck. BBQ up some amazing steaks or chicken on the new gas grill.
We provide all the bedding, linens and towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. Ask us for particulars and if we don’t currently have it, we can provide it.
* Please note, the property is a functioning vineyard and staff members may be seen on the ranch at various points during your stay, including the on-site caretaker.
