This beautifully maintained A frame is the definition of private. You will have direct access to Horseshoe Pond for canoeing, kayaking, boating, and fishing. Located at the end of a private road, nestled on it's own peninsula- this Summer getaway is everything you or your small group are looking for.
The space
2 bedroom, 1.5 bath house.The kitchen/dining room have ample storage, complete with a large island and pantry. First floor laundry and half bath off the living room which features a cozy propane fireplace and direct access to the back deck looking out over the beautiful Horseshoe Pond.
The fishing is wonderful at this bright and sunny cottage. and there is an abundance of wildlife to view such as eagles and loons. This is a peaceful setting yet only a few minutes to the highway for easy access. There is a large deck for entertaining and the property comes fully furnished. Spend the nice summer days on the water or enjoying it from your private back porch. Enjoy your evenings grilling, watching sunsets, and clear starry nights so plentiful in Maine. The upper level included two bedrooms (one with queen bed, other with full bed) and a full bath.
Please note: the stairs to the second floor are a bit steep, though not atypical of an A-Frame home. Please see the photo in our gallery. In an effort to keep all guests safe we do not accept reservations with children age 4 and under.
Other things to note
While the house is at the end of a peninsula with water on three sides, there are neighbors behind the house at the start of the peninsula. We do not allow smoking, loud noises, or parties. You are welcome to enjoy the property and spend time with friends in the evening, but please be mindful of the neighbors.

The home is equipped with a two-person kayak, oars, and two adult life vests. Additional canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and other lake gear is available for rental nearby. While people swim in the pond, it is not very deep, with a maximum depth of around 20 feet that gets shallower as you approach the shore.
