Summary: Positives, the restaurant is excellent! The food is really very good & the staff are very nice. However, the room is not value for money. We stayed in the standard double and at over £200 a night I'd have expected more too be honest. You can get it cheaper if you book last minute. The room is very small, we were unfortunate that it was hot again & the small but noisy fan in the room did next to nothing in cooling it down. With the windows open it was very noisy outside but you are staying on a working harbour so I do have an element of acceptance. But you shouldn't need to as for the price you'd expect AC or at very least a better fan. In the bathroom again it's very small & is a wetroom which when you shower covers the whole room in water. Folkstone is worth a visit & I would go again but I'd stay somewhere else & just eat at one of Rocksalts restaurants.
