Explore our beautiful, forested, creekside property, or head right down the road to azure waters of the famous Smith River.
Relax with the whole family, or enjoy the solitude, at this peaceful, pristine off-grid property.
This listing features a main cabin (1bd/1ba) with a kitchen and an adjacent smaller cabin with a king bed & an office space.
There is an outdoor bath/shower house and another outdoor toilet (not outhouse... it has plumbing!) with a sink, close to the smaller cabin.
We are on 11.5 acres of lush forested land, bordering Six Rivers National Forest, with Little Jones Creek running through it. Our road follows the South Fork of the famous Smith River. There are many spots nearby for swimming, fishing, hiking and whitewater adventures.
The place is completely off-grid. It runs on solar power, with a back-up generator. Sometimes the power goes out, which means the water goes out. Don't worry... we have caretakers on the property whose main job is to make sure the power is working properly. We also have instructions on how to operate everything if need be.
We do have wifi, which we have been able to run our online businesses with... however, if you absolutely need high speed internet at all times, or you have super important business calls, this may not be the place for you. The internet is slow at times, and it shuts off completely at other times. With that said, we have been able to do zoom calls, online coaching work, and go live on social media. It's not great for streaming Netflix and things like that.
There is another little cabin rental on the property, so there may be other guests around. There is plenty of space and privacy. If you are interested in reserving the little cabin also, we can offer a package deal.
Our place is very remote. There is no cell phone service. GPS will only take you to the top of our dirt road, so please follow the written instructions.
This is a wonderful retreat, perfect for relaxation in nature, meditation, or deep creative work.
