Our Shepards hut is a cosy countryside retreat. With out light pollution you can star gaze for hours. Situated within farmland fields you really can slow down and unwind. Just 30 minutes from sunny Southwold too.
Our self contained Shepherds hut offers your own private bathroom with a power shower and separate living, dining and sleeping area.
Small and quaint but perfectly adequate for a break away from it all in our quiet surroundings.
The Shepherds hut has a microwave oven, toaster, kettle and mini fridge so perfect for making your own pack lunches ready for a day of walking, cycling or heading to the coast. You’ll also have a barbecue outside on your own private patio area.
The nearest towns are a10-15 minute drive away for any food shopping or dining out but the wonderful East Suffolk Coast is only a 30 minute drive away with many amazing restaurants and dining experiences to try.
We are situated in the historic All Saints, South Elmham which is situated between the towns of Halesworth, Bungay and Harleston.
Beccles is also a short drive away where you can enjoy a walk by the river.
Our parish church is All Saints church and a short walk from the Shepards hut.
It has a wildflower-filled churchyard and
stands at the end of a lane behind the moated Church Farm. It has a charming round tower that is early Norman in origin. Also noteworthy are the massive early thirteenth-century font, medieval benches with animal-shaped ends and some attractive old glass. The Suffolk Wildlife Trust cares for the churchyard which abounds with wildflowers in the early summer.
You will have total access to the parking spaces in front of the Shepherds hut and the enclosed area of the field where the Shepherds hut is nestled.
There is also space around the Shepherds hut for a tent if you wish to bring children for example at the additional fee listed.

Please note: the Wi-Fi CANNOT penetrate the shepherds hut walls as there is a metal coating on the insulation in the walls so the Wi-Fi can only be received whilst you are on the patio. Apologies, but not even boosters have helped this. We do however, have excellent network coverage which can be received inside the hut. We always have at least 4 bars of signal and at least 4G.
