The location, size and specification of this home make it truly unique. Although only a pleasant five minute stroll from the beach, the house is tucked away on a quiet street, making it the ideal holiday destination.
The downstairs living accommodation is extremely light and spacious, and what is particularly lovely is that both the contemporary living room and fully equipped kitchen/diner/conservatory open out onto a beautiful, private and sunny Mediterranean style landscaped garden with dining table. On cooler days, or if you want to relax out of the sun (thanks to the full window and ceiling blinds), then the light and airy conservatory is the ideal place to unwind. Also on the ground floor is the utility/laundry room and a brand new second living room/or a play room for children, offering a huge comfy sofa, large flat screen TV and plenty of floor space. There is also a new downstairs toilet and shower room.
The newly extended first floor now provides four bedrooms and a family bathroom. The family bathroom has a bath but no separate shower.
There is a large master bedroom with superking bed, TV and ensuite wet room. There is also a second brand new additional master bedroom (king size bed) with beautiful fitted furniture, flatscreen TV and an ensuite shower room. There are then two further bedrooms - an airy double with doors opening onto a juliette balcony and a spacious twin.
‘Bauhinia’ is fully equipped with everything you need for a fantastic holiday, with things like beach towels/mats, plastic picnic crockery and picnic blankets provided to make your life easier, and encourage you to sit back, relax and enjoy the comfort of this wonderful and peaceful holiday retreat. We welcome families with children, and can provide a cot on request. A selection of toys, games and books is provided.

Sleeps up to eight people (including children, the max number of guests is strictly 8) in one super king bed, one king bed, one double bed and twin single beds, which can also be made into a king bed if required.
The driveway can accommodate two cars.

Location:
The location of the house is just perfect, situated on a peaceful and tree lined road, yet only a five minute walk from the award winning sandy beach and all the amenities of Sandbanks.
Restaurants:
There are numerous restaurants/ cafes within a ten minute walk of the house. The Yacht Club on Panorama road is great for breakfast or a casual lunch, as is The Caff by the beach carpark. There is also a new Italian, as well as Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant, which has views of the bay from the first floor dining room. For afternoon tea, you can visit the Haven Hotel next to the chain ferry, whilst for substantial “pub” style meals and the world’s biggest hot chocolates, try the Jazz Café on Shore Road. The Sandbanks hotel is a great place for a bite to eat, with a lovely waterfront terrace, and during summer season offers a kids club and entertainment. The close by villages of Penn Hill, Lilliput and Canford Cliffs offer an even wider selection of bars, cafes and restaurants, with the Cliff pub being a particular favourite amongst locals. Across the chain ferry at Studland, you must sit outside in the gardens of the Bankes Arms Country Inn to enjoy the magnificent views over Bournemouth and Poole, or try the ‘Pig on the Beach’ for some fantastic modern British food (reservations needed).
Things to Do:
Sandbanks Peninsula: The main attraction of this beautiful and exclusive location has got to be the award winning sandy beach. Sandbanks beach is part of the main stretch of golden sand that reaches all the way from Poole Bay to Christchurch harbour. You will find an array of amenities on offer close by including restaurants, cafes and shops. Watersports equipment rental and lessons can be arranged through one of several providers at or next to the Sandbanks Hotel. Another lovely place to visit is nearby Compton Acres historic gardens – about a 5 minute drive from Sandbanks. www.comptonacres.co.uk
Isle of Purbeck and Brownsea Island: Visitors can ride the Sandbanks chain ferry (15 mins walk from the house) to cross over to the Isle of Purbeck. Here you will find gorgeous unspoilt beaches as well as the famous sand dunes of Studland. Also on the Isle of Purbeck, you could take a trip on the historic Swanage steam railway, and take in the beautiful countryside views before enjoying a day at the traditional seaside town www.swanagerailway.co.uk. Or stop off and have a wander around the picturesque village of Corfe Castle - the old ruins of the castle itself are definitely worth a visit. Alternatively, take a boat from Poole Harbour and visit Brownsea Island, a beautiful and historic National Trust site. The towns of Bournemouth and Poole are both very close by.
Bournemouth: Bournemouth Beach is the liveliest section of the beach and well worth a visit. It's a short drive or a lovely walk along the beach from Sandbanks. It hosts an array of activities for families including fairground rides, amusements and a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. A particular attraction is the traditional Bournemouth Pier where you can relax with a drink and enjoy those spectacular views. The famous air festival takes place in early September. Bournemouth gardens are particularly lovely to stroll through or sit with a picnic and watch the entertainment during the summer months. The gardens lead from the beach up to the main shopping area with all its high street shops and boutiques. If you’re good with heights, then book a ride in Bournemouth’s highest attraction, the ‘Bournemouth Balloon’ and enjoy a panoramic view of the English Channel as far as 20 miles. www.bournemouthballoon.co.uk. Kids will also love the Bournemouth aquarium, Rock Reef climbing adventure and zip line and amusements on the sea front.
Poole: Poole Harbour is Europe’s largest natural harbour. There is a bustling quay and marina, Here you will find everything from rib rides, jet skiing, kite surfing and sailing to leisurely heritage cruises. Poole Quay is lined with restaurants, attractions and shops, including the famous ‘Poole Pottery’. Visitors can enjoy crabbing off the quayside or simply sitting in a café and watching the world go by. Poole old town has a fascinating history – you could even join a guided tour of the most haunted locations! During the summer months, there are weekly fireworks on the quay every Thursday at 10pm. If the weather doesn’t play ball, families with children can enjoy the many attractions of Tower Park, which include an indoor waterpark, bowling, multiplex cinema and a large indoor soft play.
