Positive: We appreciated many things about this home-location in a safe little hamlet on the coast, MANY high-end amenities-esp. nice cotton linens and towels and kitchen appliances. This is rental that cares about the little things like good coffee and tea and sharp knives. Welcomed us with wine and dog treats! Perfect space for a family of 4 and pups. Nice patio area with view of ocean and bbq. You can walk to town and wine-tasting. Summerland is a special place and this home lets you experience it all and the local beach allows dogs and is quiet. Having 2 baths upstairs and one downstairs was very nice. Very clean home!

Negative: Our main discomfort was feeling like we had to be maids upon leaving, despite paying a generous fee for cleaning and pets: we had to wash and put away all dishes, run dishwasher, tidy up, strip all beds and sort towels and linens (and be out by 10 am). Also be warned there are many stairs in the home-but we are used to that-not a problem-just a heads up. Also no access to a yard for pups, so just make sure you are ready to walk them as needed.
