Summary:
Hippy Point is a magnificent lake beachfront that overlooks Toledo Bend Reservoir. This campsite sits on a small peninsula that offers phenomenal fishing, lake beaches, hiking, and of course camping! The site is hike in but its about a 0.25 mile hike from the parking lot next to the main beach. Amenities such as a comfort station, bathroom, and showers are located about 0.4 miles from the parking lot to the campsite. You can drive to them, or hike if your feeling up to it. The camp is a perfect get away for families, couples, or groups of friends trying to get involved with nature. This site particular is one of the best on Hippie Point for a view of the main beach from a distance, easy access to the lake, and close proximity to the Lakeview Hiking Trail.
