Summary: Booked the deluxe room £200 per night when we got there with my dog was told I couldn't use this room as it had been refurbished, so we were downgraded; the reception staff was very to the point saying 'ah hotels.com did you read the small print!!' although the Hotels.com site advertised as a dog friendly hotel it shouldn't have allowed me to book it; I had no option but to take the room as I had paid with no refund!! I asked to use the spa which on Hotels.com it is advertised with spa! it had a beauty room not a spa!! The carpets in the hotel where there from when it was built I think early 1900's; maybe in need of an upgrade & the bathrooms where poor - one night was enough.
