Summary: We had our wedding reception at The Eagle & child 17 years ago. We stayed for one night yesterday as a trip down memory lane. The fire was roaring when we went into the pub which was a gorgeous welcome on a grey and rainy day. It feels like a proper pub- friendly staff and locals. Love the quirky decor with all sorts of random objects that have been collected. The lighting make it feel cosy. We sat all afternoon chatting and drinking. We went up to our room which was spotless and tastefully decorated. All we needed for a nights stay. We then ate in the pub - fantastic gourmet burger!! and stayed for the weekly Thursday club which was good fun. An excellent stay, perfect pub and highly recommend the accommodation. Thank you
