Comfy, peaceful, quiet 2 bedroom, 2 bath home located in Dorrington, CA (1496 square feet). Weather you are a group of friends or a family looking to get away, this is the place for you.
Our home has a pool table, shuffle board table, dart board and loads of board games to keep you busy. We also have a 70 inch Smart TV that you can sit back and watch movies on after a day of hiking or skiing at the nearby amenities.

The space
Master bedroom with Queen size bed located on main floor which contains its own private bathroom equipped with a shower. Master bedroom has a smart tv.
Upstairs in loft you will find a bunk bed with a full size bed on the bottom and a twin on top. Also in the room you will find another full size bed along with a dresser for your clothes.
The home has many board games, a pool table, a 12 foot shuffleboard table, dart board and movies. You will have access to free WiFi. The home has a central heater but does not have central A/C, although the home has multiple ceiling fans. The home also has a pellet fireplace.
Home has a full kitchen, equipped with pots, pans, utensils, coffee pot.
Please note there is no garbage service, each guest will need to take their garbage when checking out. There is a dropoff location on your way down the hill at Avery Disposal Station, 4541 Segale Rd Avery. If you do not take your trash at checkout there will be an additional fee of $50 assessed.
We have an outdoor BBQ on the deck. We fill the propane anytime we go up there, if it is empty you may fill it at the local Ace Hardware in Arnold.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home and outdoor yard with the exception of the locked door under the stairs in the kitchen and the locked closet in the upstairs room with the pool table.
There is a driveway that will easily fit two cars (front to back not side by side). We do our best to have our driveway plowed prior to guest arrivals when necessary. 4-wheel drive cars are highly recommended during the winter months. You may need to shovel the stairs, a shovel is located under the stairway to the house.
During the summer months you have access to use the Club house. The Clubhouse has two pools complete with lifeguards and a great snack shack, foosball, air hockey, shuffleboard, and ping pong. There are also basketball courts, bocce courts, frisbee, four square and a small children's park with swings.
Other things to note
We are walking distance from the Big Trees Village Recreation Center which offers 2 pools, a child's playground, tennis, basketball, four square, and bocce ball courts (Open seasonally and covid permitting). We have pool towels available but the cleaners will not wash these so please wash and dry any pool/beach towels used during your stay. Pool hours can be found on HOA website (bigtreesvillage)
We have sleds available to use in winter months. Please return them so the next person can enjoy them.
Home is located just a 30 minutes drive (24.1 miles) to Bear Valley Ski Resort, 7 minute drive to Calaveras Big Tree State Park (3.6 miles), 13 minute drive to White Pines Lake , which has fishing, paddleboards, and kayaking (7.3 miles) or 26 minutes from Murphy's, with over 20+ wineries (18 miles) . Whether you are looking to sled, ski, hike or just enjoy the wilderness, this home has it all at your fingertips.
There are risks of power outages and internet in this area due to weather. Typically, these outages are pretty quick (an hour or two). We do have a small portable generator that we can provide you access to so you can hook up to the fireplace for warmth if this occurs. Please contact me and we will walk you through the instructions on how to hook up. If it snows during your stay you may need to shovel snow in driveway or stairways. We do have a driveway snow plow contract and they do their best to clear the driveway before any guest checks in. We have shovels under the stairs available for use.
