Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We had a nice weekend all in all. A very clean and well thought through pod, which was comfortable, clean and well equipped. The site is really well maintained and our children loved the gaming shed and play area. Also great location to get to Longleat, which is why we were visiting the area.

Negative: The pod was very very hot, it was a warm weekend but the thermostat said 30 degrees at midnight inside the pod and that was with the use of large fans that we took with us. This meant we had open doors and windows in the evening and then we were absolutely savaged with midge bites. I’ve never been so badly bitten in my life. Can only assume there must be water near to the site and that’s why. While okay, the bathroom could benefit from some updating. The shower doesn’t work very well, with overhead ‘rain’ shower head leaking too much and the handheld one unable to stay attached when running due to loose connections. It was hard to turn down the temperature on the shower, and I think any larger person would be able to get in as it’s so tiny.

Summary: Great site and lovely pod, but beware the midge bites
