Summary: Unfortunately if you book a room through anyone other than the hotel then the spa facilities cost extra and the availability of the sessions in the spa are limited to 12 people at a time and are usually booked days in advance. To be charged extra for the spa after booking into a hotel advertised as hotel and spa, I was quite shocked. They will also charge extra for a towel and significantly extra for a robe. The rooms aren’t services unless requested, which we didn’t read until our second evening after wondering why the room hadn’t been serviced. If you wanted extra coffee and tea, it is an additional £5 per tray… the rooms are cramped in tightly and there is no telephone in the room so if you have any queries, then you have to walk a long way to find help. Such a shame as the location was great and the lady on the reception was very friendly but it is way too expensive for what you get here, I would advise to look elsewhere.
