Tiny House Bungalow-Walk to Beach, Town and Train | House in Guilford

We call our tiny cottage "Heartland". It was created as a quiet, cozy place for rest and refuge. Heartland sits on our half acre property separated from our house and is surrounded by lovely natural beauty in our charming neighborhood right by the water. You can easily (three-four blocks) walk to view the water, our historic town green, town Marina, Chittenden Park, Jacob's Beach, and the Train station.
We are a family of four and welcome peaceful, friendly and respectful guests to our Cozy CT Shoreline Cottage.
The space:
Heartland has vaulted ceilings, is well insulated (for quiet), has lots of natural light and an open floor plan with a beachy/spiritual vibe. The bathroom DOES NOT have plumbing or running water, but is equipped with an electric “Incinolet” toilet, a sink with water and bucket system for dringking and filtered water. The mini kitchen has a microwave, small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and tea pot.
There is AC and heat, ceiling fan, wifi and a television all controlled by remotes. There is an indoor dining nook and outdoor seating with umbrella.
We provide a variety of teas and plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery.
Outdoor shower provides hot and cold water (CLOSED NOV 1-MAY 1) across driveway with one parking spot (right side). In winter there is an indoor shower available at the main house upon request to schedule timing.
Adirondack chairs around a fire pit with wood provided.
Wonderful restaurant and shopping options within walking or a short driving distance. A list of local beaches (beach pass provided to Jacobs) sights, dining and shopping options provided upon arrival.

NOTE: No outdoor shower available after mid-October as it gets too chilly. But indoor shower at Main house available upon request
NOTE: Because we are coastal, there are mosquitos in the yard and at the beach at sunset so do bring insect repellent or use ours which is provided.
NOTE: The bed is queen sized and is a pull out couch style bed that has been modified to make it more comfortable by upgrading both the mattress and support. People have found it “surprisingly supportive”.
Guest access
Heartland is separated from our house, and has its own parking spot in the driveway. Access to outdoor seating, outdoor shower (seasonal) and fire pit with two Adirondack chairs and wood provided.

Please note: The bathroom is without plumbing or running water, BUT is equipped with a INCINOLET brand electric toilet, sink with water and bucket system, microwave, mini-refrigerator, microwave and toaster. There is AC, heat, a ceiling fan, wifi (not super fast:) and a television. There is an indoor table and chairs, and outdoor seating. We provide a variety of teas and plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery.
