Designed and built-in 1965, this mid-century modern beauty has been in the same family of artists for three generations. The expansive great room features two-story vaulted ceilings and exposed wood beams. A pair of large French doors open onto the deck and outdoor gathering area. The kitchen is well-equipped with bar seating at the counter. The adjacent dining room seats ten at the vintage hand-built table. The inviting sectional sofa and wood-burning fireplace create a cozy gathering space for reading by the fire and watching movies on the 60" TV.

At the cabin, you'll be close to several ski resorts: Sugar Bowl, Soda Springs, Boreal Ridge, and Donner Ski Ranch. Royal Gorge, one of the largest cross-country ski resorts in North America, is less than 5 miles away. For watersports and other lake activities, you'll be less than 5 miles from Serene Lakes, 10 miles from the shores of Donner Lake, and only 30 miles from beautiful Lake Tahoe. For hiking and mountain biking, explore the many trails throughout the Soda Springs area. Historic Downtown Truckee is just 16 miles east, with an abundance of shops, restaurants, and cafes, for year-round dining and shopping.
THINGS TO KNOW
The cabin is conveniently located off Highway 80, with easy access to nearby ski resorts and lakes. There is some road noise in the summer when outside.
The wood-burning fireplace is safe and available to use but can, at times, be a little smoky. Wood not supplied.

Parking notes: The driveway fits two cars. When the driveway is not accessible (due to snow), parking is in designated spots on Juniper Way. There is a permit (in the cabin) to hang on the car’s rearview mirror.
