THE SPACE:
A mid-century bungalow set behind a hand-laid stonewall constructed by an earlier and very industrious settler. The rocks are locally sourced and showcase just a few colors you'll find in the home.
The front porch offers a view of the mature desert willow, cactus garden, and mountains of Gold Park in the distance. Entering the home you'll be greeted with a bright open space and character that makes gatherings a joy.
A great room with a reading area and a queen-sized sleeper for those traveling in larger groups. The dining room has seating for eight and works well as a makeshift office for the nomadic worker. The breakfast nook leads to a kitchen with all the modern conveniences with further access to the private backyard. The opposite side is the common bathroom featuring original charm including handcrafted cabinetry and an unrestored 75-year-old cast iron tub. Two bedrooms to dream of your adventure offer [1] queen and [1] full bed with down duvets and cotton linens.
The backyard is large and fully fenced complete with cacti, natural landscaping, cabana patio seating, and a fire pit. Gather your favorite fixin's from the grocery store and barbecue on the gas grill between turns at horseshoes or watching the sunset.
LOCATION:
Neighboring Joshua Tree National Park's north entrance, Stonewall Bungalow sits just 3 miles from the kiosk. With proximity to JTNP, the open lands of Gold Park, and just a few miles to the downtown district of 29 make this spot, the spot!
THINGS TO NOTE:
Stonewall Bungalow is located by nearby homes. The size and infrastructure are appropriate for groups no larger than six people. We have a zero-tolerance policy for undeclared guests and are subject to $75 extra per person per night and may forfeit your reservation without a refund. If you have friends joining you for a visit, please notify us in advance.

Electric car owners, we have no dedicated charger or readily available outside plug to do so. If charging please only do so during the morning hours. ON-PEAK [expensive] electric is 4 -9 pm and request you do not charge during Peak hours. Tortoise Rock Casino offers Tesla charging stations and Chargepoint stations at the nearby Oasis Visitor Center; both locations are a 3-minute drive from the house. Additional charging stations at Freedom Plaza.

Understand the desert is a wild environment that may have high winds, rains, and extreme temperatures. The guest may experience power outages, bugs, mice, snakes, birds of prey, coyote, bobcat, and other wild animals. Exposure to any of the above will not constitute a refund or discount. Be mindful to keep doors closed so critters do not sneak inside!

An outdoor firepit is available with a starter stock of scrap wood. Please note local burn restrictions may be in place. For safety be mindful during use, avoid during high winds, and do not leave fires unattended please keep flames under control [no bonfires].
