The popular market town of South Molton has a weekly farmers’ market and a variety of shops, antique and curio shops, pubs and restaurants. There is an 18-hole, par 3 golf course 2 minutes’ walk from the property, and two further, large 18-hole courses can be found within a 10-minute drive. Barnstaple, 12 miles, has a theatre, cinema and leisure activities, and places of interest include the Museum of North Devon, Pannier Market, 14th-century St Anne’s Chapel and the 18th-century Queen Anne’s Walk.
Other family attractions in the area include the RHS Gardens at Rosemoor, The Big Sheep and Milky Way amusement parks, Exmoor Zoo and Dinosaur Park.
