Summary: The property is as described and I had a very comfortable stay. The location is very convenient to shops and the Mammoth Village. In all of my previous short term rentals, the check in process was detailed in the information listing on the website. I could not find any information for this property. The day before my scheduled arrival I sent Blake two messages via VRBO. I never received any reponse. All of my other rental managers would send me a welcome email 24 hours before arrival. I had to drive 5 hours to Mammoth Lake and at 10am I called Blake. The call went to voice mail. However the message was that the mailbox for this number had not been set up. I called again at 11am. Again no answer. Only 2 hours away I called again at 1pm. Again, no answer. This caused me some anxiety wondering what could be happening. Was Blake injured and not able to communicate? What should I do when I show up at the address.? Finally at 1:41pm, Blake returns my call. He gave me a door code. Then at 1:56pm he calls me and said the door code is for the wrong unit. He said the access to my unit uses a key which will be on the kitchen counter, and the door will be unlocked when I arrived. This review would have been 5 stars if not for the frustration of trying to get in touch with Blake.
