Escape to this 3-bedroom cabin retreat in central IL just south of Effingham. With a king bed, queen bed, and queen bunk beds, guests can unwind in this cozy space. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and modern amenities like WiFi, heating, and AC. The two bathrooms with shower and shower/tub make getting ready a breeze. Enjoy sitting on the covered deck over looking the private lake in the mornings with your coffee and in the evenings eating dinner. You occasionally will see waterfowl on the lake and deer in the back field. Take a walk around the lake and surrounding private woods or bring your bikes for a ride down the country roads. After dark enjoy the large comfy leather couch watching your favorite movie on the big screen TV. Summary: Our only regret was that our trip was so short! Check in and check out was seamless. The house was very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the equipment one might need. We enjoyed the quiet and seclusion of the location. Having access to a private lake was a very special thing. My husband and son enjoyed kayaking and using the pedal boat and I loved the screened in deck where I could take it all in and read a book. The fish in the lake were active and we saw some interesting birds and deer. I didn't get the chance to use the grill, but it looked sweet! We loved being able to travel with our dog and it was amazing that the property had a high quality dog bed available. He enjoyed walking around the property, playing down by the lake and being able to look out of all of the windows! The living area was very comfortable and we enjoyed watching movies together on the big screen TV after a day in the sun. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was nice. We were only at the property for two nights, but it was so nice that it ranks right up there with some of our longer vacations. 10/10 would recommend!
