The Purple Thistle cabin provides a peaceful place for writing and book reading, pond fishing or napping. The small town of Jacksboro is a short drive (quick 5 min.) and Fort Richardson State Park is approximately 2 miles. The State Park has a 10 mile trail around Lake Jacksboro which is a favorite for cyclists, hikers, and kayakers alike.
The cabin, which is non-smoking, is located on a working ranch property and does have a gated private entrance. The cabin is located approximately 300 yards off a major highway. Guests must have reservations to enter.
